Bellevue, WA -- PT XL Axiata Tbk (XL), the fastest growing telecommunications operator in Indonesia and Motricity, a leading provider of mobile Internet and data services, today announced XL has selected Motricity to deliver a complete range of mobile data solutions to its 32 million subscribers. Motricity’s mCore Platform and managed service approach will enable XL to deliver highly personalized, carrier-branded mobile data experiences, creating a compelling offering for XL subscribers. The mobile Internet and data services will be available across a wide range of mobile devices on a flexible, scalable and cost-effective basis.

Hasnul Suhaimi, President Director of XL said, “Our customers are demanding better and faster access to the mobile Internet, particularly to obtain the content and applications that matter most to them. With the tremendous subscriber growth we’re experiencing, the partnership with Motricity will enable us to offer the best mobile data experience to our subscribers and one that is specifically designed for the unique interests and needs of each of them.”

Motricity’s mCore Platform solution allows XL to quickly and easily provide optimized mobile access to the Internet, email and social networks, to facilitate mobile commerce and conduct mobile marketing efforts.

''This is a significant new customer relationship for Motricity. We are enthused to exclusively partner with the fastest growing mobile telecommunications operator in Indonesia to deliver mobile Internet and data solutions to XL’s subscribers. In developing markets like Indonesia, where land-line penetration is well below mobile penetration, many people will use their mobile phone as their primary means to access the Internet. We believe that XL is well positioned to provide these critical mobile Internet and data services. This region represents a significant opportunity for both XL and Motricity as the demand for mobile Internet access grows,'' said Ryan Wuerch, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Motricity.

''As the fastest growing operator in Indonesia, we have a responsibility to our subscribers to offer the best mobile data experience we can provide. We conducted an exhaustive search to find the best partner to help us achieve our aggressive objectives for our mobile data services business. We chose Motricity because of the comprehensive and reliable hosted solution, strong mobile data expertise, and proven track record of success,'' said Hasnul Suhaimi, President Director of XL.
