| Huawei enter Indonesia market in 2002. In July 2004, PT Huawei Tech Investment was established as a subsidiary of Huawei Technology Limited Co, China's information and communication technology giant. In April 2006, Indonesia's vice president Jusuf Kalla visited Huawei headquarters in Shenzen, China.
PT Huawei Tech Investment claimed that it has over 1,200 employees in Indonesia, of whom 80% are local. Huawei supply its product to all phone and cellular operator Indonesia. To date, Huawei has built two local training centers, one R&D Center, 8 service centers, 13 spare part centers and 9 logistic centers.
Huawei business in Indonesia includes import, distribution, marketing, installation, testing, commissioning of telecommunication appliances, maintenance, system integration and technical telecommunication consulting.
